The Arizona Association of Air Medical Services is the state chapter of the Association of Air Medical Services (AAMS), the national trade group representing air ambulance providers. While AAMS continues to work on behalf of the air medical industry to advocate, collaborate, and educate for the benefit of AAMS members and industry stakeholders, the "Arizona Association of Air Medical Services" is a state association, founded in 2014.

Arizona Association of Air Medical Services (AZ AAMS)

Needs review 

  • Purpose:

In 2018, the AZ AAMS served as a comment-making body for the Arizona Department of Insurance, specifically regarding out-of-network claim dispute resolution.

  • Members:

Key members included major air medical providers operating in Arizona, such as:

  • Impact:

The association highlighted the critical role of air medical transport in providing rural Arizona residents with timely access to healthcare and reducing financial burdens.

 

  • Safety. Safety has no competition.

    • The AZ AAMS has collaborated on the following safety initiatives:

    • a standardized helicopter landing zone criteria.

    • Gurney Riser program. The AZ AAMS has provided 25 gurney risers to regional hospitals with a focus on patient, and flight crew safety. (please include some of the photos that were provided).
